At smallbatch, the wellbeing of you and your pets is our highest priority. As concerns about avian influenza grow, we want to highlight the steps we’ve taken for nearly 20 years to deliver safe, high-quality raw food you can feel confident about.
First, we work directly with farms that take food quality and food safety extremely seriously. Smallbatch’s poultry suppliers are some of the most respected family-owned and operated farms in the US, that take impeccable care of their flocks and have best-in-class prevention strategies from flock to harvest.
Our poultry is never sourced from factory farms, or our co-manufacturers and we never use mechanically separated meats, which can contain high pathogen loads. Since 2005, we’ve cultivated long-standing relationships with our suppliers and know that they are taking every precaution to ensure our poultry is safe.
Additionally, all of the humanely raised and harvested meat we source is human grade and regularly inspected by the USDA. All flocks are tested for the avian flu before harvesting and cannot be harvested if that test does not come back as negative.
We will continue to monitor developments in this evolving situation and always strive to take every precaution and safety measure readily available to us and have no concerns of our foods being impacted at this time.
Thank you!
