In short - yes!
Cooked bones, especially larger bones, cooked at high temperatures or in dry environments like an oven are more prone to be damaging if ingested. Our Lightly Cooked sliders for dogs and Perfectly Cooked sliders for cats are cooked low and slow, sous vide style. The sous vide cooking method uses low temperatures, cooking foods in their own moisture and juices. This moisture retention, as well as the fine grind, is what keeps ground bone from being potentially hazardous. All of our foods are finely ground to about 1/8"-1/4" or so with the cooked foods being ground a second time after cooking. Seeing small pieces of ground bone is normal and expected for all of our foods.
Remember, dogs and cats are well equipped for digesting bone due to their short, acidic digestive tracts!
